APPLIED SCIENCE IN COSMETOLOGY

The Cosmetology Program prepares students with the knowledge and skillsrequired by the South Carolina State Board of Cosmetology for the licensing examination. Students are required to spend 1,500 clock hours in cosmetology. Students who matriculate in this diploma program must have a Tuberculin Skin Test prior to the first day of class. Job opportunities in Cosmetology include hair stylist, colorist, manicurist, wig specialist, or skin and hair specialist. The program also provides training in small business ownership, sales, product procurement, business management, and platform artistry.
